I don’t usually take part in online youtube fights arguments. And I’d like to think I’m pretty good at not getting trolled. But this fugguin guy kills me. He’s seriously defending DJs who play prerecorded mixes, get paid, get caught, etc… and he wants to defend all of that because he himself doesn’t have any real skill and in his words, he just wants fan love. We’ll he’s getting it, from a sea of other wannabe DJs which is a trend that’s booming thanks to the sync button. Maybe I am wrong here… *shrug* I don’t care, sue me for feeling like DJs, pilots, doctors, and nurses should know how to their job properly if they are going to get paid for the position.
Anyway, no matter what your take is, I’m sure you’ll get a chuckle out of some of this…
You know, all this kind of reminds me of this video….
I got this reply today. This guy is a tool.
@drsuds Nice comeback hahaha dumbasses. I blocked you from my channel….Go get your own attention. Stop trolling me.
sorry ‘Choekonit’ but im gunna have to go ahead and say that im sure youre having fun and all, but theres alot of DJ’s out there that are working very hard to be the best they can be and frankly, the fact that you want to reap the benefits of being a DJ but not actually be one?!? is kinda insulting, theres alot of ‘real’ dj’s out there (as you put it) that are not getting booked because of people like you and apparently David Guetta, which is also insulting. that someone with as much renown in the DJ community such as him would actually be ‘faking’ his set.
“im sure youre having fun and all, but theres alot of DJ’s out there that are working very hard ”
Because I’ve never worked hard, neither has anyone using a controller. We’ve never stayed up countless nights, looking like zombies, hardly able to see, building a set….that can only be done with a vinyl DJ
“the fact that you want to reap the benefits of being a DJ but not actually be one?!? is kinda insulting, ”
I can’t rock all formats, though I’d like to one day. I can’t walk up to a table and throw together a flawless set out of nowhere, there are many things I have yet to learn and master. Perhaps when I do I will call myself a DJ. That said, if I DID call myself a DJ, you would be irritated with that too. Your argument is invalid.
“theres alot of ‘real’ dj’s out there (as you put it) that are not getting booked because of people like you”
If the “Real DJs aren’t getting booked because of a nobody, perhaps they should practice more or sell their gear. If a DJ constantly loses gigs to another person, at some point they have to question rather or not they just suck.
I’m not playing gigs every weekend (yet), I’m only playing by request and it seems as I usually take the place of a DJ who can’t show up.
“David Guetta, which is also insulting.”
Sure do get insulted a lot huh? If the “DJ Community” has that many pussies who get this easily insulted, I’d rather have no part of it….I’ll just play music and have fun….why you guys are all butthurt about it
PS – My presence was REQUESTED in KC on the 18th of Feb. If you’re in the area, come and party with me. I might fall flat on my face, I’m sure you would love to see that haha

ahahah! “automation addiction … an emergency situation is something the computer can’t handle … train wrecks = plane wrecks”
hes still getting what he wants though … copious amounts of unjust exposure
Yup
Get the f*** over it bro! You are living in the past and are like the “anti-computer” generation of the past who were scared of technology and have now been left behind!
The “sync button” is part of the evolution of this art form and is now allowing an even more creative form of mixing to emerge where more insane, 4 deck mixing can be harnessed and essentially make all of our listeners and “clubbers” ect (no matter what genre it may be in” enjoy and appreciate the mix more because it has pplayed with their emotions on a greater level!
Sure, David Guetta was “fake mixing” even though it could have been a number of other things due to easy video editing techniques now! The one video was accusing him of being “fake” because he used on deck BUT certain cdj’s have the opption of mixing two tracks with one deck! Nevertheless, even if he was “fake mixing”, he still found a gap in the market with his productions, which I might add have never been “terrible”, they just fall under a commercial genre where there is a large following. Don’t be jealous because it won’t get you anywhere further in the DJ world and will in fact hurt the DJ scene even more!
But I use a computer, I still strive to DJ correctly. You’re defending a DJ who spins a pre-recorded mix one deck. You make no sense when you argue that a deck has the option of mixing on one deck. Even if that was what was going on there….. why the fuck was the other one off? I’m not “Jealous” of phonies.. if I wanted to do that I’d just get up there and play some other DJ’s mix and wave my hands in the air like I’m cool… then come on to a blog like this and talk about how if you make stink about it you’re “hurting the DJ scene”… can most people tell the difference between a diamond and a cubic zirconia, not really, all though if you pay attention it’s not hard to see, and wait.. which one is worth more? Also, if you tried to cell a cubic zirconia as a diamond. Is it wrong for people to get mad?
You like how I let you post your video response on my blog? When you wouldn’t even approve my video response.. hmmm?
Lol, anyway.. If anything man, I can commend you for being pretty positive though this whole thing. Lets agree to disagree. I still think David G, is a douche. But let’s be real here for a second. I mean maybe his manager had him fake it because they wanted to line up the video or something? Maybe that’s just something that happens when you get to be that popular. Everything has to be choreographed including what people are there to see? I mean, don’t think for a minute that 95% of pop concerts aren’t prerecorded. But shit, if you’re going to lie, at least be good at it? I mean, look at the Ashlee Simpson mess up on SNL. In a huge production like SNL you can expect a song to be rigged. But I mean, when you get caught you get bad press. Simple. I think also when you don’t bother to turn it on when you’re faking something, I think you’re pretty much TRYING to insult the intelligence of the people you’re supposedly playing for. So I don’t have too much sympathy for a fake DJ being ridiculed.
For the most part I can appreciate your stance, I like the positive note. You’re right – the “scene” needs that. But when it comes down to it.. you’re putting a lot of effort in to preaching… “It’s ok to be dumb”.
Just sayin.
P.S. I’m realllllly sorry about dragging the whole auto sync and beat matching thing into it. But I won’t lie. It’s kind of a hot topic in Brooklyn’s underground scene right now. I did take a minute to back track and say im not sure if it was an issue or not for you, and if it’s not I’m sorry. Good luck on your gig, im glad you want to learn better skills going forward, that puts you 10 miles ahead of many of the posers there.
P.S.S. I was having sex with my GF the other night in front of my DJ equipment, put the headphones on her, and when I turned the decks and they both lit up she yelled out “One step further than David Guetta” at the top of her lungs… it was pretty entertaining.
